Northern Virginia Elopement in Old Town Alexandria

Updated: Jul 5, 2021

Mallory and Andrew chose to say 'I do' on the steps of the Old Town Alexandria Courthouse in February purely focused on the most important part of a marriage - the commitment between the two of them.

It was a peaceful Friday in front of the courthouse. A few people were coming and going. The courtyard in front of the entrance was filled with beautiful light. Okay, before I go any further, I'm also going to add that it was a very chilly day and Mallory looked absolutely amazing but I'm cold for her. Now that that's been shared... I hadn't met these two in person but it felt like I had known Mallory for awhile.

You see, when I started my photography journey a lot of my early connections to the industry came from Instagram. Connecting with other small businesses found through a variety of ways allowed me to feel connected and inspired. Mallory was one of these very first connections! She's very active with her company, The Crassy Cookie, on Instagram and I found myself following along with her journey. Being able to meet new people is one of the many reasons why I love this photo business!

When she reached out asking if I would photograph their marriage ceremony, I was absolutely honored! Getting to meet Mallory and Andrew in person was so special. They are totally in love and have the best sense of humor. Old Town Alexandria is home to them and getting married here was a perfect representation of their love story.
