Say what?! That title seems...counterintuitive right? If you're using a faceless marketing strategy then how does personal brand photography play a role?

Not counterintuitive at all. It makes perfect sense! Read on to see how personal brand photography can strengthen your faceless digital marketing strategy.

My first opportunity to work with a faceless brand came earlier this year when Sew Emmy Designs reached out for brand photos. Sew Emmy Designs is a talented sewist with the goal to teach beginner sewers how to sew and specific techniques involved with the craft.

What is Faceless Digital Marketing?

In my little world of personal branding the focus has always been on the person behind the brand. So when a faceless brand needed branding photos, I saw this as my opportunity to learn and get creative.

This started by putting some thought into what faceless digital marketing actually was.

Faceless marketing is a digital marketing strategy where the focus is on the brand personality and business' offering itself rather than the individual who runs the business.

There are several reasons why someone may choose this route for their marketing but one truth remains - you can still be a personal brand with a faceless marketing strategy.

How Personal Brand Photography Benefits a Faceless Marketing Strategy

In my opinion, you need a strong understanding of your personal brand to have a successful personable faceless marketing strategy. Here are three ways a faceless marketing strategy can benefit from personal brand photography:

Focus on the Content

By taking your likeness out of your visuals, the focus zeros in on the subject matter and content you are creating. This allows your audience to engage with your ideas and understand your expertise while learning to trust your business.

Pairing visual content with your written content will increase the connection with your audience. Your written content can then convey personal stories and emotions through the tone of your writing. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to educate and inform with your copy, strengthening the trust your audience has in you.

Incorporate your Visual Branding as a Communication Tool

While your face and personal identity can help your audience easily recognize your business, having a strong visual brand can be just as useful.

Developing your visual brand - logos, fonts, colors, styles, etc. - and using it throughout your marketing will still communicate emotions, values, and personality.

A consistent visual identity can create a strong brand impression, even without a face.

Show the What and How of Your Business

Capturing content around what your business offers and how you serve your clients will teach your audience what it is you have to offer.

Knowing the personality of your brand, aesthetics you want to convey, and the pillars that make up your content marketing will create strong brand photography for a business with a faceless marketing strategy.

Personal brand photography can elevate any small business' content marketing efforts. Faceless digital marketing is no different. Polished visuals will capture attention and begin to create a connection between the service and brand.
